Ulrik Jes Hansen, key qualifications

More than thirty years of professional life with commercial fisheries and numerous assignments all over the World have presented a very broad knowledge of all aspects of fish harvest: Fish catching techniques, structure of the fishing industry; fish handling and processing; health and safety aspects; biological, technical and economic management.

But it is the close cooperation with fishers and netmakers and hundreds of training projects that has offered a detailed practical and theoretical knowledge of design, construction and use of the different fishing gears used.

The knowledge has been disseminated to a wide range of people with a professional interest in fishing: e.g. fishers, school teachers, researchers, students, administrators, and sales men from the service industry, during training courses, seminars, workshops etc. often using the flume tank as a very efficient learning facility.
